Back from a lil’ camping trip where this bald eagle provided my evening entertainment.

Obviously, I am NOT a wildlife photographer and this was just a snap. But you have to be pretty hardcore anti-photo not to at least shoot a couple snaps of a bald eagle fishing a lake at dusk– even while on vacation! The purpose of my trip was not to shoot photos– it was just to get away from it all– no phone, no computer, no wi fi, no electricity– just me and the bald eagles!

Just realized I hadn’t posted anything here yet this week (and I need to keep the search engines happy), so here’s a cool fashion-inspired photo from the weekend. Shot outdoors in my driveway, with my beautiful wife as the model. Makeup by Terri Lodge. Dress by local Portland designers Mabel and Audrey.

4th o’ july photos from PDX

Couple photos from SE Portland last night. In Oregon, fireworks that fly in the air are illegal– not that it’s tough to go over the border to Washington to buy them.  But even so, most folks light of the legal stuff– fireworks that just sit on the ground and spray out sparks.
